I’m joking, it’s not that wild, I just like how that title sounds.

A visit to the West side of Amsterdam is always a pleasure for me: it’s refreshing, especially after the crowded city centre. This is a multicultural neighbourhood and the most densely populated of Amsterdam. There are multiple nationalities living here and it’s a place where you can see and feel the real life of the city. Although there are some streets that are quickly gentrifying, where you can find hipster cafés next to ethnic shops, West is still more of a residential area for now, a place for locals, not yet conquered by tourists. There is even a windmill here (De Otter), a surprising sight in the middle of the city.
