Amsterdam West on a Gloomy Day

I love a good, cloudy day! When the clouds feel so low that you think you can almost touch them, when the day is so dark that it feels like evening. Cloudy days are the ones when you curl on the couch with a book and a blanket, waiting for the rain to tap on your windows. They are quiet, cosy and calm.
This walk in Amsterdam West on a cloudy day was very pleasant. The streets were almost empty; I could hear the seagulls fighting and the tree branches dancing in the wind. Everyone was hiding indoors, scared by the menacing clouds. But the rain never came; instead, the sky cleared, and the sun came out to warm us a bit at the end of the day.
