If it’s the weekend, it’s market time in Amsterdam — this time, a different kind of market: the Old Amsterdam food market, organised within the Farming the City project, as the kickoff for the Old Amsterdam Food Tour’s 2014 season. The stated goal of the market was to re-discover our relationship with traditional food and how it can be included in the culinary culture of our time. I can tell you that old and new were well mixed together in this small market, where one could spend some quiet and delicious time on a Saturday afternoon.
