The first Christmas day was a grey and windy one, but since my friend Elena had only a couple of hours to spend in Amsterdam before taking off to more sunny lands, we went for a walk anyway.
We managed to survive the cold wind by stopping many times for hot beverages and cake at some gezellig places. We ended the day with Dutch pancakes and a lot of laughter. Not bad for a very non-typical Christmas day!
