I discovered Affaire d’Eau during one of my wanderings on Haarlemmerdijk. All kinds of curiosities like vintage potion bottles, dog shaped soaps and small antiques were inviting me in. The inside of the shop was exactly what the window promised: a great vintage shop for everything you need in a vintage bathroom or kitchen.
For those looking for a unique vintage style in their house, this is the place to be. The offering is quite impressive and consists of original or reproduction antique bathroom equipment and home decorations from the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco periods. Some of the items are unique — if you really like something, it’s best to buy it immediately. What I liked the most were the small home decorations and the soaps, as well as the washing basins and the tiles.
