Acacia flowers

I know that blooming acacia are not decorating the streets and buildings anymore, but I wanted to write this post a long time ago, and for some reason I never seemed to find the right moment for it. Now I miss their delicate flowers and the enchanting perfume which surrounded the house a few months ago… First the mauve one started to bloom, climbing on the walls and gently embracing the windows. Then, when their flowers had almost faded, the trees with white and pink flowers took their turn. I must admit that, in my ignorance, I thought acacia (the big trees, not the climbing plants) only had white flowers; I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw the pink ones! Now I know there are also yellow and orange-red acacia flowers and I can’t wait to find some to admire and capture in a thousand photos.

  1. I think half of these pics are rubinia false accasias and some climbing wisteria.
