This year winter came to Amsterdam with some really, really cold days and, surprisingly, some snow. Maybe this was the city’s way of welcoming me, as I just moved here in December. I’ve heard that the Dutch winter is not often bringing snow, so imagine my surprise when I went out of the house in the middle of a beautiful snow storm! It was a pleasure to explore the neighbourhood, to see the bikes covered in snow, marvel at people who were still trying to cycle in this weather and admire the canals becoming all white.
