Snow and Windmills

On the second day of the snowstorm that hit the Netherlands, I got out of the city and experience the strength of the wind out in the open. Oudorperhout is a beautiful water-rich park right outside of Alkmaar; that’s where I go when I want to pretend I am in the middle of nowhere. The wind was indeed much stronger than in the city, and I felt I was freezing really quickly. But I like storms and the landscape was amazing. I was glad to see I wasn’t the only crazy person walking there, braving the gale force wind. I went back home after about one hour of enjoying the snow, and tried to warm up for the rest of the entire afternoon. But it was worth it!
