Streets of Amsterdam

The first time I came to Amsterdam, I walked from Central Station to the hotel. I wanted to see the town immediately, I couldn’t wait.

Walking on the narrow streets, it was almost dark, and I had such a cosy (even gezellig) feeling… I still have that feeling today, when I walk through the old town, through its labyrinth of beautiful streets.

Only that today I am not a tourist, I am an Amsterdam inhabitant myself. An Amsterdamian.

I still can’t get over the excitement that this statement generates! I am walking a lot, discovering the city, being amazed almost every day, learning my way through my new place. Amsterdam is still mysterious, still feeling cosy, and the streets are offering wonderful opportunities for photographers.
