Amsterdam celebrated National Tulip Day and the start of the tulip season by building the traditional tulip garden in Dam Square. It was a perfect day for going outside to pick flowers — and to admire traditional Dutch costumes. Every year, in the middle of winter, the main square of the city transforms into a flower garden. You can pick tulip bulbs fro free, and go home with a bunch of tulips.
